What is tBTC? tBTC allows you to unlock your Bitcoin’s value to borrow and lend, mint stablecoins, provide liquidity, and much more. tBTC is a decentralized wrapped Bitcoin that is 1:1 backed by main-net BTC. Existing solutions bringing Bitcoin to Ethereum require you to send your Bitcoin to an intermediary, who then issues you an Ethereum token representing your original asset. This centralized model requires you to trust a third party and is prone to censorship, sacrificing Bitcoin's promise of secure, permissionless decentralization. How does tBTC solve this issue? Instead of centralized intermediaries, tBTC uses a randomly selected group of operators running nodes on the Threshold Network to secure deposited Bitcoin through threshold cryptography. That means tBTC requires a threshold majority agreement before operators perform any action with your Bitcoin. By rotating the selection of operators weekly, tBTC protects against any individual or group of operators colluding to fraudulently seize the underlying deposits. By relying on an honest-majority-assumption, we can calculate the likelihood any wallet comprised of a quorum of dishonest operators. An insurance backstop (the coverage pools), serves as an emergency fallback in the event a wallet is compromised. What is Threshold Network? Threshold.network stems from the merger of NuCypher and Keep networks into a single decentralized network — it delivers a suite of threshold cryptography services for web3 applications through a decentralized network of staking nodes. The whole community is governed by a DAO. Flagship services of Threshold Network include Threshold Access Control (TACo) – which enables end-to-end encrypted data sharing and communication without the need to trust a centralized authority, tBTC v2 - the only decentralized and permissionless Bitcoin-to-Ethereum asset bridge and thUSD - an overcollateralized and decentralized USD stablecoin that uses both ETH and tBTC as collateral.

Market cap and fully diluted valuation are close, so most of the supply is already circulating.
We are not auditors and we do not certify any token as safe. What follows are measurable facts read from the chain, each one stated so you can check it yourself. The index simply summarises them into a number: tBTC sits at 94/100. Every threshold and penalty behind that figure is published in full on our methodology page.
These checks come from GoPlus Security, an independent contract scanner. We publish their reading, we do not produce it.
tBTC is a Ethereum token, so its price is set entirely by what happens in its liquidity pools rather than by any order book. Volume is low relative to the $512.1K sitting in the pool, so the price can stay flat for long stretches and then jump when a single sizeable order arrives. The main drivers are the depth of that pool, how concentrated the holder base is, general Ethereum market conditions, and social attention. For a token with a A grade, position size discipline matters more than any price prediction.

Every token this size gets asked where the price is going, and nobody honest can answer that. What can be answered is what each target would require. tBTC trades at $76,637.18 today. For each target price below, the table shows what the whole supply would be worth at that price, and how that compares to assets people already know.
| Target price | Multiple from today | Implied valuation | For scale |
|---|---|---|---|
| $200,000 | 2.6x | $885.29M | a mid-tier crypto asset |
| $500,000 | 6.5x | $2.21B | a large-cap crypto asset |
| $1,000,000 | 13.0x | $4.43B | a large-cap crypto asset |
This is arithmetic, not a forecast. Nobody can tell you where tBTC will trade. What the table does tell you is the size of the move being asked for, which is usually the missing piece when people ask whether a token can reach a given price.
These are the questions that actually get typed into a search box about tBTC. All of them come down to the same three numbers, so here they are.
tBTC trades at $76,637.18 with $512.1K of pool liquidity and $139.5K of volume in the last 24 hours. That is what it costs, how easily you could get out, and whether anyone else is actually trading it. Nobody can tell you where the price goes next, and the arithmetic further down shows what each target would require instead.
tBTC v2 (tBTC) trades at $76,637.18, gained +0.97% over the last 24 hours.
We are not auditors and do not certify tokens. Measured from the chain, tBTC sits at 94 out of 100 on our on-chain health index, computed from liquidity, volume quality, buy/sell balance and pair age. No mechanical red flags were detected, which is not a guarantee of safety.
The tracked pool holds $512.1K of liquidity. Liquidity determines how much you can trade before moving the price and how easily you can exit.
